Little Flowers of Fatima

In 1917, in Fatima Portugal, three little shepherds.........as sweet and simple as the flowers which dotted the hills and valleys of Portugal, made an astonishing claim. They said that the Virgin Mary had appeared to them! The message of Fatima speaks to the whole world.

Lucia, Jacinta, and, Francisco announced, in an atheistic country, where God and the supernatural were scoffed at, with the exception of the older peasantry here and there, that God would perform a miracle so that all would believe the messages of Our Lady, whom He sent in order to bring peace to the world. This miracle was announced several months before it actually took place.

On Oct. 13, 1917, a solar phenomenon occurred in the presence of over 70,000 people. They had waited all night, in a driving rain. Carriage wheels were deep in mud. The shoes of the people were sodden, along with their woolen clothes, made heavier with rain water. At noon, little Lucia said: "Look at the sun". It had begun to spin and cast rainbow colors over the frightened crowd. Suddenly, it plunged towards them. Many thought it was the end of the world and fell to their knees in prayer. It had assumed the color of a pearl like disk, and could be looked at without harm to the eye. It plunged closer and closer, then began a slow ascent back to the sky, moving in rectangular circles. The water soaked clothes of the people became dry and a feeling of wonderment filled their hearts.







This supernatural event was witnessed by the atheistic secular newspaper of the area, 'O Saecula'. It was described in blazing detail designed to be sensational, more than a testimony. Yet it's printed words remain today, a testimony ..... out of many.....to the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. And to the existence of a supernatural world which, today, seems to be gone like the leaves before the wind.

The words of Our Lady, given at Fatima, promise peace to a blood soaked earth...........as the angels (also supernatural beings) who filled the sky over Bethlehem sang: "Peace on earth to men of good will"...........

The disbelief in God and the supernatural go back eons. Sunk in debauchery, the literature of our times sways the minds of humanity to scoff at traditional beliefs.
